Singing in Portsmouth, NH
I love music. Seeing music, playing music, singing…it’s a true passion. Singing is my primary strength, and I play basic guitar and bass, too. I am currently seeking new projects — especially jazz or soul singing gigs.
My music bio:
Hannah Smallltree sings jazz, soul and rock, combining her deep, sultry voice with a warm stage presence. She was the lead singer of Soul Junket, a soul band in the Seacoast NH area from 2000 through 2004. After that, she was the co-lead of the short lived (but totally awesome) party & function band, Splenda, with the gorgeous and talented Mary Kull. She’s been a regular guest at the Portsmouth Press Room’s Tuesday night jazz session, and studied with Portsmouth’s Sharon Jones (just as cool, but less well known than the nationally known Sharon Jones.) Hannah also plays basic acoustic guitar and bass, and often plays at open mics around the North Shore. She’s been a backup and guest singer with numerous bands, including the Amorphous Band, Sharon Jones Band and New Orleans-based Bonerama.
